April FNwF

Inspired by Cheryll's Friday Night with Friends, I quilted the little Hat Trick quilt ready to sew on the binding last night. And here it is finished.

I used a free digital pantograph called Keukenhof to quilt it on my Handiquilter. Though I should have increased the size of the pattern as it was only four inches deep and so it's quite intensely quilted. Never mind, it's a darling little quilt and it's finished. I need to find an outlet to sell some quilts as I finish more than I give away. This is a perfect size for a baby quilt and only uses two charm packs of Sew Stitchy by Aneela Hoey , backing and the red spotted fabric for the borders and binding.

I also had some time to work on April's Woodland sampler. I hope to finish April next week along with a few unfinished details on January and February too. April's creature is a Jackalope which I'd never heard of. Apparently it's a mythical animal of North American folklore described as a jackrabbit with horns or deer antlers. You learn something new every day.

Although I desperately want to cut into my Comma by Zen Chic, I think today I should concentrate on two Block of the Month blocks as well as my mini quilt commitment. The bonus is we're out to dinner tonight on a Quidsin deal at the Museum Brasserie, so no dinner to prepare.

What a pretty little baby quilt! And with the embroidery you did as well, you certainly had a productive FNwF.
