Ready for the off

Having finished the gargantuan client quilt yesterday afternoon and taken it off the machine, I quickly loaded up my Whit Schnibble. It's less than 30" square so it was quickly quilted, and whilst dinner was cooking I machined the already prepared binding to the front of the quilt. I then put it in my hand luggage along with thimble, needle and thread to stitch on the plane.

Then it was time to pack my suitcase, which came together quickly which is very worrying. Worrying too was the weight, however DH put the case on the hand held scales. 16 kg, wow that's very underweight. Lizzie offered to do some hovering for me, so what is a girl to do? It was only 9 o'clock so I grabbed Whit from my hand luggage which is ready for the door for our 7.30 am pick up, which as it's Mum collecting us, probably means 7.10 am. An episode of Have I got News for you and QI later and the bindings were finished. That's my October project done.
