I've just received the January 2007 kit and it's gorgeous with loads of bling. Karen McIvor has produced this gorgeous layout using the kit.
The price of the kit goes up to £6 from Jnauary but it now has enough to make a double layout. The January kit includes:
1 sheet of Tower of Love paper
1 sheet of Mixed Emotions
2 sheets of black cardstock
1 sheet of dark rust cardstock
1 sheet of soft green cardstock
Length of black sheer ribbon
4 flowers
Pack of self-adhesive crystals
Two members have seen it in real life today and both have put their name down to reserve a kit. Sarah of Scrapaholics has also produced a naughty double layout and to see that layout, visit the scrapaholics gallery at scrapaholics

Ukscrappers cybercrop
The bad news is that the crop on 24th November has had to be cancelled as the venue are putting up their Xmas decoartions - the good news is that UKScrappers are having another cybercrop weekend.
What is a cybercrop?
I've taken this information from Scrappybunny's FAQs (Frequently asked questions):
A CyberCrop is just like a real time Crop Event but it's based online, here on the UKS forums. A timetable will be posted shortly and you will be able to see what the crop will entail more fully; classes, games, challenges etc, and lots of chat to keep everyone in contact while we're all cropping and having fun
The timetable is the key to the weekend, you can print out a copy for yourself if you wish, and keep an eyeout for any updates running up to the weekend. The timetable is normally edited regularly until the crop, but won't normally be changed after the Friday morning of the crop.
Just have you and your cropping supplies ready to start, be near the PC if you can (though some members do run back and forth if theirs is in another room).
In the CyberCrop forum, there will be messages related to each event so it should be easy to follow. Usually once you get in there and see how things run, it is easy to see how it works. The Classes are posted in the Classes forum, and the Challenges & Games have their own forum too. Please check the timetable to see where you will find each event.
As there are so many members wanting to take part we split you into random teams, and each team also has its own chat forum. This is great for getting to know your team members and makes the cybercrop forums a bit less overwhelming.
So don't try and contact me that weekend as I'm unlikely to reply. LOL. Time to put some food ready in the freezer.
Here are some layouts I've done during earlier cybercrops:

Barbie Girl layout
Here is one of several layouts I finished or substantially finished at the crop last Saturday. It was a quiet but productive day. Thank you to Lorraine for the use of the Sisix photo strip which just finished off the layout. This is all from the Scraproom Basic Grey Romani kit for October.
I'll be e-mailing everyone to find out whether you are free for the next crop on 25 November or would prefer a different date.

Back from Paris
Almost missed the TGV, will tell you more later, but I just wanted to share this photo taken by the Barbie team at Galerie Lafayette. Professional hairdresser and photographer and Barbie clothes. Two hours later the girls left with a copy of a photo and a small goodie bag. I will show you Fiona's photo if she allows us as she ended up with big hair and wasn't very happy.

Perfect day - perfect embellishment
Another double layout using an Ocotober Scrap-room kit and a layout designed by DT member - Jenny Price. The colour of the patterned paper went so well with the clothes Elizabeth and Fiona were wearing. Whilst I was looking for chipboard letters for the title, the Scenic Route chipboard phrase "perfect day" fell on the table. Fortunately I hadn't started my journalling so was able to incorporate it.
Two more kits to use so I can be entered into this month's drawing for some extra goodies.

Card class done, now time to do some scrapping
I spent all last week getting ready for my card class on Saturday so this week I've time for some scrapping before we go on holiday on Saturday.
I've been using the first of this month's kits from scrap-room and it is crate paper cowgirl.

I only recently found some photos from the 1980s. I didn't think I had any. I particularly like the photos of Joanne on the waterslide. Dad told me he couldn't remember what year this holiday was, but 10 minutes later he rang back having looked through old passports - he also asked if I'd given him back my unused pesetas.

Pencil art
I have just seen this pencil art in the 2peas gallery and the other examples on the lady's gallery are lovely too. I wonder how easy they'd be to make for teachers' Xmas presents? The website is http://www.oopsimeantto.com/gallery.html

Scrapaholics November 2006
I thought I'd start a blog to spread the Scrapaholics news as I can't seem to send pictures of layouts to everyone as the files are sometimes too big. So here's the November news:
November kit
Here's a layout done by Sarah. The November kit is using GLITTER. The contents include:
1 x White card
1 x Blue card
1 x Green card
1 x Arctic Frog Fleece Mittens
1 x Arctic Frog Ski Parka
Piece of white satin ribbon
1 x bag of lush Crystal Glitter
3 x Snowflake charms
So dig out those skiing photos. If you don't have skiing photos you can use the papers for children's activities - particularly those who have boys.
The November meeting is on Tuesday, 14 November at La Pouquelaye Community Centre from 7.30 pm. Please let me know by 24 Ocotber if you would like a kit.
Saturday crop
Before our next evening meeting there is a crop on Saturday, 4 November at the Eastern good Companions Club in St Clement. The cost will be £5 per person. Again please let me know by 24 October if you are coming as we're away at half term.
I am going to place another Bazzill order next week so please let me know if there's anything you'd like me to order for you.
St Peter's Garden Centre
This month's theme is harvest so do enter as there weren't many entries last month. The monthly prize is £50 to spend at the garden centre with an overall prize and runner up in December.
