Friday finish - charm square basket

 

At the retreat I stitched another free pattern which is the charm square basket by Sew Sew Maria. I used some scraps of an older Sweetwater line for both the exterior and interior. The binding is a stripe from a Halloween kit, and I added a label from the Kylie and the Machine 2021 advent calendar.

I used scraps of iron on bosal which gave the basket great structure. I don't think the basket needed the quilting which was the longest part of the process. The basket was immediately gifted to my daughter who was also at the retreat with me.
