I found it

At Saturday's crop I was bemoaning the second page of a two page layout that I couldn't find. I lifted up my huge craft mat to dust and lo and behold I'd put the page under there to stick some bits down. So you can see my Portelet Common page above.

Another productive and sociable crop on Saturday. I did two one page layouts and two 8" pages for my Christmas journal. I misaligned a rub on and had left my adhesive eraser at home (one good thing from the Paris show!!!). The rub on came off beautifully.

I liked yesterdays pencillines.com sketch and can see that it would make a great title page for a holiday album (such as Egypt I wonder). I changed the 18 photos to 3 and used some Daisy D which isn't my cup of tea combined with some Basic Grey.

Quick on the draw

This must be an all time record fo me. The pencil lines sketch went up at 8pm, I printed the photos whilst watching Gordon Ramsay and I was finished the layout by 9.40 pm last night. Woohoo.

I used a sheet of Noteworthy paper for the background and Creative Imaginations scalloped paper as a mat.

Lovely day

How lovely to see so many people on Saturday and what great work everyone was producing. I finished three layouts completely and have one in progress.

I have now booked three crops for February and March and they are listed on the right hand side. Let me know if you can make the February crop.

Crop day

The first crop of 2008 and it's 8.43 am. So what am I doing - the usual - printing out photos at the last minute. The printer and the camera weren't cooperating last night, but a reboot sorted them out. So here are my LOAD layouts for days 8 to 11 of January. That should be four layouts if I can remember what layouts I did.

Seaworld just needed some journalling but the E fell off the disk for my big dymo so that meant I had to abandon my dymo idea and throw the disk away.

Boys will be boys just needed the title block and patterned paper on LHS.

JJC dinner I did from scratch at Tuesday's group and when I came to upload it the same night to BPS couldn't get on the internet so am out of the big prize drawing.

Science Museum inspired by a layout in the Designing with 2008 calendar.

Printer still printing but I think I need to start packing the car.

Brilliant day

I almost forgot to upload this layout to the BPS daily challenge gallery. I had almost finished it yesterday morning and only had a few letters to adhere and then photograph the whole layout. We went shopping, ate lunch and then went to a geocaching event that we eventually got home from at about 8.30 pm.we were tired and damp but it was a good tired IYKWIM.

The layout is about a geocache find in Lizard Quarry. Lovely views despite the mist last weekend. Scraplifted from a new Scrapbook Trends which arrived on Friday. So busy I haven't read them all or the magazines Joanne lent me last week.

Time to take down the decrations this morning before the children go to the panto this afternoon.

Down the salt mine

Another layout from a crop last year that only required journalling but took 4 months to get around to doing and about 20 minutes to check the spelling on place names and to complete.

LayOut a Day

There is a challenge running on bigpicturescrapbooking.com to complete a layout a day in January. I have decided to finish off my Christmas journal and any other half finished layouts that I come across. One such layout is this one of Belem which I completed at a crop and hadn't done the journalling for.

Motorbiking

DHL have delivered a scrapbooking parcel to Bikers at Georgetown. I can only wonder what they were going to do with the delivery which they've had since last Thursday. Fingers crossed that it gets here safely this morning.

The walking back to happiness layout was created with the Sweetwater kit form Scraproom for November with the addition of the gorgeous felt ribbon from Queen & Co and the Sticthz Bazzill from my November Scrapagogo kit.

Found it

My scraproom kit eventually arrived so quickly pulled the layout together with lots of help from a pencillines.com sketch #59.

This morning we headed out to the Channel103 big car boot sale. Very busy and tight for space. Matthew was pleased with his Knex and Lego purchases. I found some books and a big rucksack for Elizabeth to use for her cub camp.

Then we set off with Joanne and Fiona to try and find four geocaches http://www.geocaching.com/ around town but without the aid of GPS. The first we found with the clue and help from Yvonne. Unfortunately it needs maintenance and the log was missing. The next two we didn't find but will return with GPS (once it arrives from Amazon). Bought two advent calendars from Thorntons on the way to Wests Centre where we found and logged our first find. To celebrate we had lunch at the Pomme d'Or. Perfect weather for geocaching.

Isn't this cute

Look who was visiting this afternoon. Ann Freeman (Scrapagogo Design team) was predicting at the weekend that hedgehogs will be the owl of 2008. I hope she's right. lol

That's better

I've resized the previous layout so you can actually see it.

Week 3 of jessica sprague's class. I'm getting quicker at this!! Still haven't figured how to print out the layouts yet at the size I want.

Getting harder

I created this digi layout from scratch, no just adding some photos and a title this time!!

Almost birthday girl

Another digital layout. I plan to play with digital and use my favourite pictures of Elizabeth to try it out. Then I need to buy some photo paper and print them out ready to put in an album for her for Xmas. Well that's the plan as of today. ;)

And just one more. I'm using Photoshop elements 3 and the tutorials are in PSE 5, so some instructions I'm having to work my way around as the tools are slightly different.

Holy moley

Oh yes, do not adjust your screens. This is a digital layout. LOL I'm just playing and learning with this kit I downloaded months ago. Literally takes 10 minutes. This is a jessica sprague kit which was available on Ck online.

Scrap Camp layouts and classes

A favourite of the weekend which I finished in the allotted time. we used the Sakura gelly roll pens for the dots.

Jane's lovely transparency class was full of ideas. Tip - don't buy Cherry Arte rub ons.

I also liked Jane's style file class but I eliminated the bulk of the file folders and added tags from the die cut sheet to match the papers.

Cleo was lovely and showed us how to use the new Stitchz cardstock from Bazzill

Layouts I did when we weren't in classes:

My entry into Jane's transaprency challenge:

Still two more classes to finish and uplaod - Him class by Kirsty and Grace's Handmade me.

Welcome

Joanne to the world of blogging http://thingstoscrapbeforeidie.blogspot.com/ Love the cheery title of your blog. I think Jackie's influence is rubbing off. http://thatruddyblog.blogspot.com/

Joanne has even loaded up her Scrap Camp layouts. Aagh. I need to finish Kirstie's first, but today I think I'm going to scrap some Scrap Camp photos using Shimelle's sketch from the cybercrop. First of all I need photos, which is a bit of a problem as my camera stayed in my bag all weekend.

My cricut has also arrived and so have my extra two cartridges. I'm loving the scalloped circles and squares in Mini Monos. I've also bought two disney cartridges from Ebay and as they can't be posted to the Uk because of licensing issues, they have gone to my friend's US address and she will bring them back after thanksgiving.

Fiskateers has landed

My free fiskars scissors courtesy of fiskateers arrived this morning. Beautifully wrapped. Still under the weather so am keeping a low profile. Have completed the current pencillines sketch #51.
